Just what return might MIN get out of fossil fuels?

MIN Market Cap. approx. $14 Billion

Planned spend on Gas $850 million

and from 1982's post - an extract from "The West Australian" article:

What might it take to get Govt's ahead of the game?, it appears industry has high conviction that more Gas is required with a plethora of gas companies awaiting Govt. to be on the same page!?

Is it all about politics & Govt. playing the various stake holders seeking the least political impact of progressing fossil fuel development?

Surely Australia is well placed to develop the best practice ESG fossil fuel extraction processes?

MIN progressing their plans with fossil fuels - just what might the potential be??? Will it out-shine Lithium? OR complement it?
