STX say the reason the flow rate test on WE5 was less than it should have been was because of formation damage .
They said they had a skin effect and blamed it on a cementing problem .

The remedial cement job will not be a squeeze .They make a hole in the casing at the level of the top of the cement in the annulus and more or less do a normal cement job .
The annulus will be open not closed .

The mechanical problem that caused this mess is not common and really does not have a lot to do with it being a deep hole .

Hmmm, I'm thinking you may know a thing or two about drilling and the Perth basin my friend

Let's hope it gets sorted properly it does seem that Perth basin is a tricky little devil for sure seem to be baffling most experts.

Hoping the payload is a belter for all invested.
