I held BCT short term, sold before Labcon pulled the plug (sheer luck), and am looking to buy back in. A quick read of the Labcon business on their website suggests to my simple mind that BCT wasn’t a good fit for them. It was an exotic and IT-heavy add-on to their core business so perhaps they found it too incompatible and thus unviable to distribute effectively, notwithstanding the difficult market conditions. My guess is that Labcon in these difficult times is either pulling back to focus on what they do best, or (less likely) planning to go into the BCT space themselves. Current price is tempting, that’s for sure.
