My guess would be that Tom will be a very happy and peaceful person because of various things
a) He is in a win-win situation - if the oil flows he gets all credit for his leadership - if we get a duster, the blame goes to some of the holders who raised concerns pre-drilling (it will be easily done by any of the blindly management supporting holders if any here) b) His position in the company is firm and no dangers what so ever. By now he will have easily learned the psychology and popular views of SHs c) sitting back, relaxing, possibly continue reading HC postings etc (just like most of us in reality) d) he may get a bit uncomfortable reading some postings, but will use them to evaluate how such feelings are dealt with by SH (with unending hope that miracles will happen).
I see there are 2 main schools of thought within the SH HC community here. It is really not about who is right or wrong etc etc. It is about how the cash burn can be optimised, how income may be enhanced, how SH value can be added (for an exploration company it is about increasing the SP, avoiding dilution, promoting the real potential but not faking etc etc to name a few). For example, if the MC has become a third, we can't afford expensive executives etc.
I still believe if everyone think about the SH value in similar way and act in a responsible manner using each and everyone's specialisation and vote, then we should be able to hold shares in a more successful company rather than the current dog which has generated huge loss to most holders including me. I believe no one has a right to advice what another SH should do, let us respect that too. Just my thought. GLTAH
