they cannot be the lowest cost producer because to produce on large scale their ore will be 8% grade where as SYR have the same ore at 16% grade
SYR are at opex $200/t so TON will be say $300/t
low grade means more costs
if TON are going to produce 300,000tpa of low grade graphite they must dig up the low grade ore, imo, because the high grade ore deposit at Nicanda is simply too narrow (<=50 metres wide) too be dug up cheaply
