I take it that's a not so subtle swipe at me. Mums and dads typically love to blame others for their own decisions. I've never said we'd get $100m+ dollars in cash compensation. I always had a balanced view on what the potential for an award would be but acknowledged we'd then have to enforce it. The company as late as Feb 21 up to today said cash compensation was on the table but they've now suggested to the market that that's no longer feasible. To me it's a sensible to work back from a list of demands in a negotiation, you can't start with your minimum demands and work your way up! It sounds like your strategy would be to dig your heels in for a lousy $30-50m at the risk of having to enforce a substantial award for the next 3-5 years. Glad you're not negotiating for us.
