they're not ignoring the survival data, they're asking for different data - ie. the data the proves batch potency consistency so that they know that the 40 odd percent that didn't survive at 2 years sadly passed away because this is a nasty, nasty beast rather than because they got a weaker batch than the ones that survived.
in fairness they've been pretty consistent with that request all along.
