as far as I know, non-process control samples should be assayed by an external, independent NATA-accredited commercial lab. Especially if the company is publicly listed. I wouldn’t trust any mining company that assay and release their own non-process control results, because the temptation to fudge numbers are just too great.
Any onsite lab is really responsible for just process control ie. are things at the plant trending up or down?
