As an addendum to my previous post though, I should say in all honesty, that successfully building a mine in remote Mali, a high risk and sometimes dangerous location, was no mean feat - it was a great achievement that involved enormous efforts and skills, and should be fully acknowledged as such.
I hope that the Lotus shareholders, and their African projects, are able to leverage some of those abilities.
It would have taken great dedication by the Leo team to continue at times.
And it would have been disappointing to see the project, and all their hard work, effectively stolen from them by a military Junta.
As the Lotus shareholders probably already know, operating in Africa can be very difficult at times.
