I found it interesting to read the above announcement regarding the AKIDA1000 SyQuacer platform in the context of the following article and video promoting Socionext’s current solution to processing video streams. If you listen carefully to the interview the representative of Socionext confirms that the system on a chip which is described as creating with an earlier generation Synqacer a powerful neural processor is in actual fact a neural accelerator.
As such it has none of the six features claimed for AKIDA1000 and it should become clear why Socionext is excited to partner with BrainChip to commercialise AKIDA1000 and the full suite of AKIDA based products.
