Once you have them you can convert at anytime up to the expiry date, regardless of the SP of the main shares. If the SP is lower then people might ask why you didn't just buy on market cheaper (this is where the Piggies add excitement tot the mix). Just have to make sure the cash is in the conversion account (Automic) by expiry date.
