You might be correct personally I would never trust an automatic option as they always have disclaimers if for some reason it doesn't happen as expected.
If the price is good I will be getting the form from Automic and exercising them well before time.
I'll get the form anyway a few weeks before the expiry date even if the price is lower just so I can exercise the options straight away if there's a sudden last minute spike in the SP
