L-Max is a mineral processing technology under development to produce lithium from mica.
At the moment, the mica at Mt Cattlin is separated and sent to waste. Mica has a lot of lithium in it, but it is very expensive to extract. At the moment spodumene is profitable. Mica not so much.
L-Max looks like the game-changer that look like it can produce lithium from mica cheaper than spodumene.
This opens up Mt Cattlin for a production increase by adding in a L-Max circuit to the existing mill just to process the mica that was previously just thrown away. Its more production and revenue from a very low operational cost once the plant additions are built.
