It's tough holding a developer. I'm going through the same ups and downs here as I went through with CXO (from 0.04 to $1.4). The other stocks you mentioned are less risky and generating huge revenues (with huge market caps and the advantage of being in the ASX 300/200/50) and in this environment that's all people care about. If management organise finance and offtake then there's no reason LPI can't at least equal AGY in market cap (well over a dollar).
The best thing to come out of this consolidation is that Borda holds a huge portion of the company. Being a director and so deeply personally invested there's no way he's here for a junket or to turn this into a lifestyle company. Hopefully he's cracking the whip and pulling strings in Chile.
