Correct me if I’m wrong, but the value (MC) will not increase...

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but the value (MC) will not increase once the transaction goes through. The MC will remain the same but there will now be more shares on issue thus diluting or reducing the current value of each share. The only way the MC can increase is by the share price increasing.
