Kidman Resources (KDR) announced a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with LG Chem (Before LGES) in relation to the supply of lithium hydroxide in 2018 before KDR was acquired by Wesfarmers in 2019.
It is interesting that we can't see that agreement as a current binding offtake agreement. It tells me once again that MOUs are not reliable and not to be considered in the future potential of projects.
It even surprised me because I was wrongly remembering that LG Chem had a reliable and high capacity offtake agreement with WES. When I couldn't see WES in the list of the suppliers of LGES, then I went back and found out that it was only a MOU. Therefore I now consider the offtake agreement of LGES with LTR is an important one for LGES.
