That initial announcement was really a missed opportunity to truly sell the significance of this BARDA grant.
A US$8.258m grant out of a US$20m AMR budget is a HUGE vote of confidence on what FebriDx has to offer!
Whilst the extra US$5.25m is predicated on the exercise of the option to expand to an additional application for CLIA waiver covering under 12s the indication from Annie was that this is pretty much a given.
Also, if this information had been included in the original announcement it would have saved a lot of guesswork about what the extra potential US$5.25m was for. We here were left speculating what the extra optional funds were for and how/when they would come into play.
And LDX wonders why the market cap does not reflect the intrinsic value in the company? Sell the bloody thing by properly informing the market!
