The other thing people are confusing is the terminology.
Healthcare loves to sound important but in the CLIA setting 'Laboratory' just means 'the room where you do your tests' - in a GP practice, that could easily be the consulting room. It's not some sort of high powered area with people in white coats and a gazillion machines.
'Emergency Centre / clinic' simply means one that has no appointments, a walk in facility. It doesn't mean one where Ambulances arrive with a screech of brakes and sirens blaring.
You common out-of-hours GP clinic is called 'The Emergency Clinic'
Hopefully that makes it simpler to understand.
