I disagree, i am an RN and i work in the hospital. We swab all our pts when they come to ED. I think they will make it as mandatory in pts with respiratory symptoms. Dr’s prescribe antibiotics a lot of times even if it is not necessary. This is an ongoing problem which could lead to ineffectiveness of antibiotics due to microorganisms developing resistance to it.
