This is also true; the deal may not go through for a couple of reasons. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go into that because I'm superstitious and don't want to jinx it, but you've done it for me lol
If anyone wants to offload shares before the deal goes through, it could be worth at least waiting until the start of the next financial year (next week) to postpone paying tax.
