Good of you to remember my concerns about exposure rates ~
Sadly Australia's mining Industry is slowly slipping on its Standards. Bureaucrats in all States are trying to distance themselves from the responsibilities of Operational oversite, Once upon a time Mine Managers and Mines Inspectors, had a Proactive concern ie "Duty of Care" to those employed on a mine site. Sadly the erosion / removal of their powers is resulting in a decline in working conditions. What happened at Mt Clear this week is a prime example of the folly in thinking that a untrained inexperienced Work-Safe official can be anything other than Reactive.
Those "exposure rates" I mentioned last year were developed by experts in their field ~ have the dosage rates changed ? just because some uneducated / ignorant Bureaucrat now deems them irrelevant does not mean the hazard has disappeared.
