Honestly it is nowhere near that complex, there is no change in the mining method from campaign to continuous, as we know MtW is basically doubling its output so the intermittent "campaign" mining is no longer sufficient and needs to go forward on a continuous basis.

As with most things RE scale & continuity build cost efficiencies, i.e. no more shifting plant on & off the mine site, probably permanent, local labour, so costs per ton mined might actually decrease.

There is no increase in waste other than the incrementally lower grades over time, marginal impact that I image would be offset by a reduced level of overburden as the pit goes deeper.
