Just read that Perth councils have contracted their residential volumes to the incinerators for long term. The commercial volume is held mainly by Cleanaway and Suez. Veolia just bought Suez globally. Although Remondis has purchased Veolias commercial waste business in Perth, (ACCC requirement) Instant waste purchased Perth Bin Hire a year ago. Between these players, they dominate the Perth commercial volume. They all have landfills to fill. EMRC who own Redhill landfill just submitted an application for a class 5 licence to off set the reduction in revenue and tonnage the incinerators will cause. The class 5 will enable them to take the incinerators ash. M8S can only attract local volume from small independents, which their isn’t many. Perth market has an over supply of landfill space now.
