Yes, the incinerators will open. End of this year for the first one. LinkedIn recently reported a senior Remondis manager moving over to the Macquarie incinerator. State government too invested into the projects and heads of terms signed for inputs from most local authorities. Suez were just purchased out of their remaining 15 years of a contract to compost waste at their Neerabup facility. That management team have moved to the new incinerator prepping for opening. That was reported in Suez latest newsletter. Gingin needs to be class 3 and chase other waste streams, acid sulphate soils, contaminated material that is higher value and achieves better cubic metre rate than just general waste, which they will have to discount to get any. Landfill is all about airspace, cubic metres. General waste is 0.9 tonnes to the cubic metre compacted, contaminated soil is 1.3 tonnes to a cube. Chase the higher value, denser material but needs to be a class 3.
