An extract of the announcement follows:-
"Macarthur Coal wishes to advise that it has commenced settlements with customers for the purchase of the companys low volatile PCI coal for the Japanese fiscal year ending 31 March 2011"
Commenced settlements means paying or receiving the moolah and I'm sure thats not what they meant to say. This is slack sentence construction for an announcement and is frankly nonsensical.
I presume they mean have commenced price settlement negotiations. Does anyone have a different take on this jibberish?
