RWD demonstrated in 2013 field evaporation trials that leonite and kainite were present in harvest salts in roughly equal amounts.
They demonstrated in 2019 field trials that back mixing brines eliminated leonite giving a high kainite harvest.
Furthermore their trials supported a flowsheet which did not require flotation to remove excess halite and this was achieved by manipulating the evaporation sequence.
AMN are a decade out of touch it seems. So much for the “DFS”. Definitely not definitive but at least they haven’t spent $1B only to discover they never understood their chemistry.
