It looked like someone was trying to accumulate in the low 50's after the recent flow results. That announcement was huge so I was crossing my fingers someone would show some interest.

The Mackay scoping study assumed 250km of trenches yielding 0.75m3 of brine per day. The first steady state result after pumping for two months was 1.4m3/day. I think from old resource data Trench 1 was in a good part of the lake, but the flows still exceeded expectation and the test duration is industry leading so I'm feeling very confident about it. It was also the first firm indication that extraction is being de-risked.

Mackay's grade is lower than Lake Disappointment, but with any of these project's once you know the SOP is there it's about ability to extract the brine quick enough to support meaningful production levels. I'm not convinced that investors should be blinded by grade with these projects - this isn't a gold deposit. Not to mention, Reward's 2017 resource update (to bring it in line with its more advanced peers!) decreased Lake Disappointment's grade by 20%, so even that advantage seems to be eroding with time.

I wasn't expecting a Mining Agreement until early next year so not sure that's driving the increase... unless negotiations are running strictly to the timeline provided last year which is a rarity with these processes from what I've seen in the past.
