New flake graphite production has come from Imerys/Gecko and this mine is not currently shut down as you report, Etablissements GALLOIS S.A. who has added more the 20,000/mt of new capasity, Bass Metals Ltd. and Graphit Kropfmuhl AG.
Syrah major competion is all the or most of the graphite mines in China since their target market is to supply to China all or most of their fines and sell to Chinese producers of Natural Graphite anodes for li-Ion batteries.
Thus Syrah must offer delivered prices to Chinese buyers at competitive prices to Chinese orgin.
Investors need to understand that Syrah competition is Chinese graphite mines and not all the non revenue Jr. Graphite Mining companies Syrah keeps refering to.
