I'm interested to know opinions on what relevance is there in the timing of an announcement. Once a decision is made on something material to market does it matter if that is announced at 9:45am, 2:00pm, 4:10pm on a Monday or Friday or any day in between?

Reading some posts it would suggest there are folk who believe that somehow bad news can be released without anyone noticing if it is released at a certain time.

I'd very much like to hear opinion on this because I've read similar comments about timing of announcements on other stocks.
