I posed the question to explore the relative valuations of BGL vs. BDC (they being, on paper, roughly similar with respect to capacity to form a certain-sized gold mining operation - leaving aside the high-grade character of BGL's deposit).
Of course, BDC put their mine plan on hold and accepted a takeover offer by SBM instead. Even so, I was wondering how it could be the BGL's enterprise value is six times that of BDC. Is the high-grade/low-cost of BGL's deposit really worth that magnitude of difference? (there is also the factor that BGL can possibly double their resource).
On the other hand, maybe it says something about a too-low enterprise valuation for BDC ?
