If the fund update two days after a day the stock goes up 7% shows a significant increase in inflows, people need to go to jail over insider trading. What you described would almost certainly reflect something illegal.
Reality though is that this stock has done similar movements and been crushed subsequent by the update only days or weeks later. I suspect the update will still reflect outflows.
