On the topic of open/closed class differentiation, I was wondering if anyone knows if the structure of Magellan's share buybacks in MGF can translate to those units being distributed in MGOC purchases? I'm assuming under the trust structure it's possible but certainly not an expert. If so it makes the current ~4% discount look very attractive, both long term for investors and short term for Hamish's team.
I struggle to understand how there are still buyers in MGOC unless MGF is anticipated to drop further - Either way I'm accumulating both MFG and MGF as the macro volatility continues to rise.
