You are so far off the mark here. You should familiarise yourself with the structure of the fund before making such Incorrect statements. As I stated above the total fund size for MGF is $2,158.2million.
A 1¢ improvement in the exchange rate of 0.77¢ is an approx 1.3% movement which should increase the AUD size of the fund by a similar percentage amount as the fund is unhedged.
I’d be more interested in a medium term downward trend in the exchange rate rather than various intra day moves to look at potential currency gains in this fund.
