Is it just me or does anyone else think the placement price was as much a cheap set up for Anglo to get their average down to a more reasonable market price of 45c than a market clearing issue price? Just over half what they paid last time cause 30c on the knocker really would have looked a bit rude. No doubt all sophisticates were told "Anglo are taking a slice" just to make the story solid. Mind you with a 30% discount to market no wonder they were heavily oversubscribed. Funny to listen to Kieth on BRR cooing how the heavy oversubscription was strong endorsement of the company's funnymentals. I thought the oversubscription had more to do with a massive discount and chance of immediate substantial profits for the buy-wholesale, sell-retail crowd. Long holding retail punters have every right to feel a bit ripped IMO.
