One of the quarry photos dates back many years, how many I forget. Likely both do. Nothing new there. As regards the Mg metal extraction plant I've not seen this before ( over the past umpteen years). Where is it... in the Northern Territory, or somewhere in Australia, or is in an overseas country ? And now I foresee the planning timelines stretching out to who knows where given a proposed Mg metal production operation is to run in parallel with the Mine Management Plan. Its been around 4 years now from commencement of document preparation for the quarry operation ( starting with the NOI document to now currently the MMP document) but no timeline to complete is being given. So now to add another layer of complexity to the paperwork, a Mg metal production operation !!. To date no one has produced Mg metal in Australia in commercial quantities or cost effectively. And thats not for trying. The only company I can see that is currently endeavouring to go down the path of Mg metal production in Oz is Latrobe Magnesium and they have been at it for a long time and now just progressing to a pilot demonstration plant.
