Fact: Magnis had a big stake in battery plant and production.

If I was in their shoes, I would have popped my head in for a look to see how it’s progressing.
My bet is that once they knew the battery’s had issues, their heads went in the sand, kept on taking their salaries while the train with no brakes headed for the end of the track.
