Given that the extension is only to June 2018, I am hoping thats because Management believe that something is brewing and they did not need any more time then a further 6 months.
It's an important announcement because it does give shareholders hope that there is stuff happening behind the scenes and shows that partnerships are still strong in the belief that eventually it WILL happen.
