Hmmm let's see. APLNG have more than enough of their own gas to develop to fill their LNG plant. Shell similarly have enough of their own gas to feed their plant and are now diverting their attention to exploration in the Taroom rather than more CBM anyway.
So if the 2 other LNG plants are already full of their own gas, it leaves Santos as the only player with ullage at their LNG plant to get export prices for the gas. Hence why they bought in to this project in the first place I assume.
Who are all these other players you are referencing??? Max value will be getting export prices not selling to the domestic market... and only 1 player has LNG plant room to fill.
I am sure this project will go ahead eventually, but I think people here calling for 30c are dreaming. There's a reason it has been proceeding so slowly and it sure isn't for the benefit of COI.
