Cross pollination isn't an issue mate. I'm assuming with this crop they have used clones from female mother plants. If they grew from regular seeds (Non-feminised) then you would have approximately a 50/50 mix of male and female plants which would destroy your medicinal cannabis crop. Even 1 male can destroy everything (horny bastards they are). The male plants are just for pollination for the females to produce hemp seeds for consumption. They would then be used to be turned into pulp or something.
You can still use seeded plants for extracting purposes but the yield would be far less.
