Spod comes in a variety of colours, but @SkyRain claims of spod is almost certainly wrong.
The off-white patches are likely feldspar, there was no mention of spod, and if all the white patches were spod there's no way they wouldn't mention this as would be very high-grade.
Also, if I were a holder I'd be concerned that the hole was drilled through the centre of high-grade rock chips on the Wallaby trend of the mapped pegmatites, and only intercepted very thin pegs:
Hard to see how this announcement is positive.
