Below is a picture of the Deflector South orebody, a list of drill intercept apparent widths and a cross-section from the ASX release of 5/6/20...
Mining costs tend to be very high when the width of mineralisation is as in the picture. Let's say that's a 3m wide x 5m high drive in the picture costing what, $4000 per metre (drill, blast, load, ground support) - 3 x 5 x 2.7 = 40 tonnes = $100 per tonne + trucking. I don't know how variable the orebody is in strike and dip but at the grades in the table, the stope widths would ensure no mineralisation is left behind. The grades would also suggest 100% extraction so cemented fill but who knows...that's enough research for today. I don't know what the going rates for underground development are so the $4000 / m could be wrong up or down.
