I have read today’s announcement, and my first reaction was that the market would probably not take much notice. I hold both SNG and ICL and find their announcements are sometimes difficult to follow, as they tend to jump from one point or area to another then back again. The layout of the announcements I believe could be better, with the main attention catching points highlighted first, even the font could be better and maybe the main points of each announcement explained in layman’s terms, as I doubt a lot of shareholders have an in-depth knowledge of geology and mineral exploration. At some stage you need to grab the market’s attention, so IMHO, I believe that maybe they need a better speech writer. I have been out of the market for a long time, and have only recently returned, and while I have never been a gold guru, I believe that gold in the near future will shine. The central bank’s of the world have been printing money like there’s no tomorrow, especially over the last two years, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and probably will continue to do so as the world try’s to navigate its way through the pandemic. I believe we are already seeing the inflationary effects of this. Civilisations since the dawn of time have had a fixation with gold, and gold has proven to be a much sought after investment in times of inflationary pressure, I don’t see how it will be any different, going forward, unless people flock to the so called digital gold, the crypto currency markets, but I believe many may view, a physical form of investment, more secure, than one that exists in cyberspace, just my opinion. If the price of Gold does take off, then the gold sector of global markets will be centre stage, all markets are cyclical, the focus at the moment, especially in the speculative end, is lithium, uranium and rare earth metals, but this will change in time, and if the price of Gold takes off, then every penny gold stock will follow.
