Volume on green days = it goes up
Volume on red days = it goes down
It basically shows you in one glance how much volume is behind a trend. There's also this concept of OBV Smart Money (Google this for a better explanation) where you can see the Big Boys moving in. The OBV will be increasing steadily without the price going up. Shows a clever accumulator is at work. Also an explanation for "end of day cappers" if you subscribe to the standard Hotcopper conspiracy theorists
