Because they got conned out of it because they're freaking out at the drop in price. Or maybe they have three million shares and they just want to sell a few to pay for different shares, or maybe they're retired and need some money for something. There are a lot of reasons to sell, but more importantly, someone is buying up big. Lots of little people sold, but one, two, or three bigger fish bought.
