I might be wrong about this, but I felt KIN was coasting along during the period when it had no CEO for a year .. RJ was "executive chair" but he had other things on his plate and lived on the Gold Coast according to the interview below. Management by Zoom. Some of what he talked about ... having lots of funding to help out meritorious but unfunded projects ... has produced zip. He talked up KIN's VMS discovery but they didn't exactly go flat out trying to prove it. PNX was a different matter ... they had no funding until the merger went through. Compared to SPR (GCY) where Simon Lawson apparently asked the Geos where to drill and gave them funding .... in my mind the interview below unintentionally explains why KIN spun its wheels on exploration for a year, even after it got plenty of cash. My opinion only, reading between the lines.
