If they do it in the morning, the announcement will show up as an announcement for that day. Traders troll through these announcements looking for something to jump on for the day. With the announcement put out after close on the Thursday, it was forgotten by many except for the 12 odd million that got squeezed through somehow at .006c.

IMO it's always better to release the news first thing in the morning, especially if it's positive as this news was as it gives the stock a chance to run and lets face it, we all want to see this thing run even for a couple of tenths.
