But also lets not forget the Strategic importance of our indium to the mix of Copper, Zinc and Silver. American West Metals has the USA’s only indium deposit.
The US currently imports 100 per cent of indium it requires for this strategic metal. It is one of the earth’s least abundant minerals. Indium finds use in low-melting alloys and solders and has a place in semiconductor technology, like gallium, in Group 13–15 (IIIA–VA) semiconductors and as a dopant for germanium p–n junction devices.
