A couple of 'finer points' for your consideration user23:
1. Maybe not confuse rhetoric/marketing spin for substance. All businesses hype their products. Its the nature of the beast. Its marketing 101. Just google 'revolutionary offering' or 'revolutionary product' etc. You will get the gist.
2. By definition, all IoT is 'revolutionary' because it did not exist just a couple of years ago. The term does not - in terms of substance - distinguish one IoT tech from another.
3. The market will determine whether or not the tech is 'revolutionary'. It will be evident in market share, sales and share price - irrespective of what management say. That will be the true test and will confirm the difference, if any, between management aspirations and management achievements.
Bottom line - your DD should tell you that the jury is still out on whether or not the tech is 'revolutionary' - not confirm it!
