Screw the lithium. This is why I got in in the first place.
Lithium prices dropping due to temporary oversupply will only cause cheaper batteries and more demand/production in the long run, but Manganese is a safer "bet" atm.

Manganese plays a role in many different lithium battery chemistries and with the recent uptake of cheaper LFP batteries I can see a bright future with that projected to move over to LFPM chemistries for higher energy densitiies.

• Nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries.
• Lithium ion manganese oxide (LMO) batteries.
• Lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) batteries, which slots in to LFP battery production chains without too much difficulty and increases energy densitiy by 15-20%. See CATL's M3P, also worked on by BYD.

I've also seen research pointing to Manganese filling a similar role in sodium-ion batteries.
