Sorry this is apologetic nonsense. I have no doubt the gold is there, but they just didn't get the drilling/assays done within the very generous timeframe in the prospectus to put together an MRE on a realistic Gold price, so they pumped it to get their free shares.
The gold is there, but the performance shares are for meeting the performance targets, which they didn't meet without fudging the calculation at shareholders expense.
